One Wish: Chapter One

I looked up at the stars, then at the moon.

‘Wow, the moon is so beautiful tonight, a full moon. A moon full of promise and of hope.’

I smiled up at the moon, it was just so magical, so beautiful, so... well... mysterious. I wished that i could be liek the moon, beautiful, and swift. THen out of no where, i felt thirsty. Wanting to quench my thirst, i went down the carpeted steps and into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, i looked for my normal drink: a can of soda or else a cup of orange juice. Frustrated i couldn't find a single drink. So, i opted for a cup of clear, refreshing water. Taking a glass cup, i poured a cup of water. Staring out of the window i stared at the stars that shone like diamonds in the sky.

"Twinkle, twinkle little star, how i wonder what you are," i heard myself humming.

When i was humming i realized that i only had one friend, as was okay with it. But i had to pretend, something i didn't like. i tried to go with the flow, and i lost my own personality. I wanted to be happy without faking it. THat was when it happened, a star fell out of the sky. It was a "Blink or else you'll miss it scene". Without hesitating, i wished on the star.

"I wish for happiness, to discover my true self."

Then out of no where, i dropped my glass of water. The glass had broken, and i wondered if my wish wouldn't come true. I wondered if it was a sign that my wish would never come true. But i knew that there's always a chance of it happening. So i cleaned it up and went to bed, wishing again and again for my wish to come true.
