“I’ve been on a rollercoaster, since you said we were over, ‘cause u didn’t wanna be tied down~” I sang.
“You’re pretty, and you sing good,” a little girl said. She didn’t look much older than 7 and I was finally 14, and a spoiled bi***.
“Thank you~ what’s your name little girl?”
“My name is Faeria,” she said.
“You have a pretty name~ My name is Serene.”
Out of no where, the little girl collapsed. I felt her forehead, it was burning up, and I tried to see if she had any notebooks in her book bag that might tell me where she lived. Searching her book bag, I found a small spiral notebook. I flipped it open and there was a drawing in black and white. It was of a little penguin all alone appreciating the aurora lights in the north. Then I went to the next page:
March 13th 2015
Dear Journal,
Today I ran away from home. I couldn’t take it anymore, the pain that my parents put me through. I’m constantly abused, now that I’m on my own, I don’t know what to do. I hope someone can help me…
-Faeria
Gasping slightly I couldn’t believe that I had found a runaway. I whipped out my cell phone and immediately dialed my driver.
“Arwen, pick me up immediately! And bring me a basket filled with food!” I snapped into the phone.
“Yes, ma’am, may I know where is your location?”
“Ugh! Jupiter Avenue, corner of Maple Restaurant!”
“Yes ma’am, coming ma’am.”
“Well HURRY!!”
I looked at Faeria, her cheeks growing paler with every passing minute. I prayed to who knows who above, I prayed to the “almighty” god, praying that she’d get better.
“If you want to
I can save you
I can take you away from here
So lonely inside
So busy out there
And all you wanted
was somebody who cares” I sang.
“I'm sinking slowly
So hurry hold me
Your hand is all I have to keep me hanging on
Please can you tell me
So I can finally see
Where you go when you're gone” Faeria sang back.
I hugged the little girl; she had been through a lot of trouble. Taking out my wallet, I pulled out my money. Counting out close to a thousand dollars (yea, cause im rich), I place it in the little girl’s backpack. With the money I slipped her a buisiness card with my picture on it, on the back I wrote:
“This money is for your use, and the food is for you to eat. Take care<3”
I placed the basket of food next to the girl and I walked into the limo that was waiting for me.
“So lonely inside
So busy out there
And all you wanted
was somebody who cares”
The song stayed in my mind as I walked into the limo.. staring at the little girl I didn’t know what I should do…
“And all you wanted
was somebody who cares”
Sighing I turned back to the car just slipping into the seats.
“was somebody who cares”
